4 Natural Skincare Tips for Glowing Skin

1. Wash your face
While the general recommendation is to wash your face thoroughly before going to bed to facilitate better airflow into the pores and also to let the skin breathe, it would do you great if you could wash your face at least 3 to 4 times a day. Besides the refreshing part, washing your face removes any kind of dust accumulated in a short period. While washing with only water should do, try washing with rose water or green tea once in a while.
2. Balancing masks
It would be a good idea to pamper your skin with a balancing mask. This not only soothes but also hydrates and exfoliates the skin. Mix 1/2 a banana with 1/4 cup of oatmeal and 2 teaspoons of honey. Apply this to the skin and just rest for about 15-20 minutes. Instead of using a washcloth for wiping this, opt for rinsing the face with warm water. Oats act as a scrub and also moisturizes the skin, banana helps to remove the dead skin and also gives freshness to the skin.
3. Deep clean once a week
It is always best to apply a mask that has antibacterial properties. It helps you with deep cleansing and further increases the smoothness of the skin. Ensure to do this before taking a bath, preferably in the morning. Take 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder (look for the organic version), 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of milk. Mix all the above until you get a smooth paste and apply it to your face and neck using fingers. Leave this mask for about 20 minutes and ensure to wash it with cold water. Remember turmeric has healing properties and is anti-bacterial in nature. So, those with sensitive skin, apply honey and rest for about 5 minutes after the above routine is done.
4. Protect from UV damage
For those who stick to nature-friendly products and are yet to find the best nature-friendly sunscreen product, this trick should do its job. Take 2 tablespoons of yogurt (unflavored ones) and mix it with 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Apply the paste and leave for about 20-30 minutes and wash (only) with cold water. You can do this either in the morning or in the night. These ingredients moisturize the skin and remove blemishes. besides the vitamin C in lemon helps the skin from any UV damage already caused and yogurt aids in overall skin texture and also makes the skin brighter.
