Benefits of Essential Oils for Skin and Hair
Given the popularity of natural products used for various forms of skin, hair, and health benefits, a lot of people are turning towards the use of essential oils. One of the growing trends today, essential oils are being integrated into a wide range of products for both topical application and oral consumption. Since the ancient times, oils have been an important element of both cosmetic and medical treatment. Today, the range of products that we get infused with these essential oils for skin and hair care are gaining momentum as they are easy to use and do not leave a sticky feeling.
Essential oils are nothing but plant extracts, and therefore, very organic in nature. The main scent depicts the plant it was extracted from, and these oils are quite concentrated when extracted in the purest form. The carrier oils are used to dilute the concentration of the essential oils used for skin and hair care. These carrier oils are used to integrate the essential oils for natural use so that the skin is benefitted and not affected by the pure concentrations. Some of the commonly known carrier oils are jojoba, coconut, olive, and almond oil. They are also plant-derivatives like essential oils, but lack the strong scent and have a more neutral smell.
