3. 2019 Honda Ridgeline

The 2019 Honda Ridgeline earned a 5-star overall crash test rating with the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and good scores with the IIHS too. Standard safety equipment includes the rearview camera, while advanced features include rear and front parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and the Honda LaneWatch blind-spot camera. The car is priced at around $29,990.

4. 2019 Acura MDX

With a 5-star rating from NHTSA and a top safety pick as per the IIHS, the 2019 Acura MDX is another good car with great safety features. The 2019 Acura MDX comes with standard safety features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, and road departure mitigation. The car also has many other advanced driver assistance technologies including rear and front parking sensors, a heads-up for emergency braking, a surround-view camera, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. 5. 2019 Mazda CX-9

Priced at $32,280, the 2019 Mazda CX-9 has an expansive list of active standard safety features including Smart City Brake Support, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. Driver assistance systems include Advanced Smart City Brake Support, rear and front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, lane keep assist, a surround-view camera, traffic sign recognition, rain-sensing windshield wipers, adaptive headlights, and automatic high beams – all this is available at a price of around $32,280.
