Acid reflux is a condition that occurs from time to time in many people. 1. Ginger
Ginger is a good source for fighting acid reflux because it is alkaline. These types of food battle inflammation in the stomach and can ease symptoms such as irritation in the esophagus. Walnuts and avocados are foods that are high in protein and have a meaty texture, thus, they can be used as a substitute for certain fatty meats.
5. Egg whites
Whole eggs are often avoided by sufferers of acid reflux. However, this food does not need to be avoided altogether. The egg yolk contains a lot of fat and can often trigger acid reflux. The egg white, on the other hand, is alkaline which means egg whites can help offset stomach acids and reduce acid reflux. Also, they contain the B6 vitamin which helps with the metabolism of amino acids. B6 can greatly reduce acid reflux.
